Seoul Campus elementary loves to host Saturday events for their students and parents, giving a chance for the community to gather outside of the usual school hours. On April 6, Seoul Campus opened for Art Saturday, organized by art teacher Karen Jung. Here she shares the fun of the day.
Over fifty students and parents got together at Seoul Campus last Saturday, enjoying the vibe of an art cafe and inspiring one another to play and create at the art stations in Ms. Jung’s room. Students worked with clay to make pinch pots or sculptures, and used cardboard to design robots or other creatures. Students practiced printmaking with flowers and objects from nature, making art for their walls at home. And everyone helped color the paper zoo in the hallway!
Several parents joined their kids in the art room to have fun together, collaborating or working on separate pieces. The art cafe offered coffee and croissants, a chance to catch up with others in our KIS community. The whole morning was pleasant: what tops making art on a gorgeous spring day?
Thank you to Jennifer Le Varge, Seoul Campus elementary principal, for such lovely photos!
