KIS Hosts AISA Swim Tournament

This past weekend KIS proudly hosted the AISA swim tournament. The varsity swimmers competed in two days of intense swimming, resulting in some very exciting heats. In the end, the girl’s team was awarded AISA Champions. Yonje (grade 11) broke three AISA records for 100 M Individual Medley, 100 M Freestyle and 100 M Butterfly, and was awarded the Top Female Swimmer. Our girls’ relay team also placed first in both the Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay. Jaehyeon (grade 11) swam an impressive 50 M Butterfly and placed first in the event, while Selena (grade 12) placed first in the 50 M Breaststroke. Finally, the KIS team was delighted to be awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the tournament. Coach Featherstone and Coach Pate are proud of the team’s achievements over the weekend and look forward to the final KAIAC Championship meet at Chadwick International School. Cheer our swimmers at 1pm Friday, 20 April or 11am Saturday, 21 April.

Thank you Coach Lisa Featherstone for the update, and Eliot (grade 11) for the photos
