Hannah Cone’s high school 2D Art 1 class is learning printmaking techniques using linoleum and water-based ink. Students looked at examples of linocuts before creating their own design. Next they carved both sides of their linoleum block to print two different colors in one design. Today each student practiced printing their designs, testing the cuts of their linoleum, making changes to the amount of ink used or pressure applied during printing. This particular medium is challenging and fun!
Thank you Hannah Cone for inviting us to take a peek at the colorful work 2D Art 1 students are making! Photos from Sarah Marslender
